How To Measure For Wooden Venetian Blinds..

Measuring for your new made to measure Wooden Venetian Blinds is very important, and surprisingly simple. This is the measurement you need to take if you want your blind to fit inside the window recess. We always recommending measuring in 3 locations and using the smallest one.

We then make small deductions needed to ensure the blind fits perfectly into the recess (around 10mm on the width only). Please Note: if the recess is less than 60mm / 2.5 deep, the window opens inwards or there are other obstructions the blind may have to be fitted outside the recess. Please use this measurement method for fitting blinds outside the window recess or have made your own deductions. We recommend a window recess overlap of at least 70mm on each side.

Please Note: we do not make any deductions to the measurements given when using the actual blind size option. This is the measurement is designed for customers who have taken advantage of our bay window service.
